Rushed to the "Hometown of the Red Army" in Bazhong City, Sichuan Province, China's largest Red Army Monument Forest and an important national patriotism education demonstration base-the Sichuan-Shaanxi Soviet Area Generals Monument Forest, and solemnly carried out the theme party day activities of "Remembering the Red Footprints and Practicing the Original Mission". In order to expand the scope of learning and education, employees and representatives of some employees who were rated as "Advanced Individuals" in 2019 are invited to participate in the theme party day activities.
On the way, Secretary Xiao Yangdong, despite his exhaustion, gave a detailed introduction to the arduous history of the Red Fourth Front Army in establishing the Revolutionary Base in the Sichuan-Shaanxi Soviet Area and the briefing of the generals.
At 13:30 in the afternoon, everyone first gathered at the solemn public memorial square of the Holy God of the Generals Stele Forest, under the monument to the famous names of the Red Army soldiers, and held an activity to revisit the party oath and take a photo with the flag.
Immediately afterwards, everyone visited each of the red scenic spots in the Red Army Cemetery of the Generals Stele Forest one by one, and carefully watched the roster of 138,000 Red Army martyrs from all over the country engraved under the Monument to the Names of the Red Army Generals; and visited the 1,000-meter-long Forest of Steles There are more than 3,200 individual monuments to the Red Army soldiers, including 2 marshals (Zhu De, Xu Xiangqian), 18 national leaders, 3 generals (Xu Haidong, Chen Geng, Wang Shusheng), 28 generals and 86 lieutenants. There were 360 people, major generals, 148 female Red Army members, and 108 couple Red Army members. During the Second Civil Revolutionary War, in December 1932, the Fourth Front Army broke through the Kuomintang’s fourth "encirclement and suppression" encirclement of the Hubei, Henan and Anhui revolutionary base areas by the Kuomintang reactionary, strategically shifted to the border areas of Sichuan and Shaanxi, and was established with Bazhong as the center. In the second largest Soviet area in the country-the Sichuan-Shanxi Revolutionary Base, the Generals Stele Forest was built to commemorate and cherish the great achievements of the Chinese workers and peasants of the Fourth Army.
Countless ancestors devoted themselves to the revolution without hesitation when the country was in crisis, shed blood and sweat, and even gave their precious young lives in exchange for today's happy life. It is worth setting up a monument for future generations to miss forever.
